Marcus and Katherine met back in 2008 when both were in Sweden! She is American and he is German, so I do love that these two met serendipitously while both were abroad and on a life adventure! After successfully having a long distance relationship for years, Marcus finally made the move to the States about 1 year ago and proposed up on the north shore! For their engagement session, we hiked to some scenic spots and even gave a nod to the groom's German heritage! Congrats to Marcus and Katherine!

Winter is suddenly upon us here in Minneapolis! For Mary and Nick's engagement session, we shot inside the Walker Art Museum, which is one of my favorite modern spaces to be in. It's so bright and refreshing, which matches the outside vibe of Minnesota right now - without the cold! Mary and Nick are a wonderful couple and I have had so much fun getting to know these two! This fall. It has truly been one of the most lovely seasons that I can remember and the colors have stuck around for much longer than expected, which has been such a treat. For Ellie and John's engagement session, we spent some time around the area that Ellie grew up in and it was STUNNING. There were walking paths that were so enchanting, covered bridges and a perfectly breezy lake. This couple is so great. I first met them when they were guests at 
From the moment that Maddie walked into my studio, I knew that I had to photograph her wedding. We bonded instantly over restaurants, Frye boots, J crew jackets and our dogs. Needless to say, our client/photographer connection was strong, but after meeting her fiance Ben, I am even more pleased with this couple. They are so fun and have an outlook and energy for life that is so contagious. The couple chose to have an Uptown engagement session, which is where they spend much of their time. It was a gorgeous fall day and I couldn't be happier with these photos! Congratulations to Maddie and Ben on their engagement!
Katharine and Ryan met in Minnesota, but shortly thereafter, Katharine accepted a job offer in her home-state of California, which quickly put into perspective just how special they were to one another. Ryan made a bold move and decided to also start a new life in California, to be closer to Katharine - and needless to say, it's worked out wonderfully! For this couples engagement session, I traveled to their new home in the San Francisco bay area. We hiked some Redwood groves, ate some amazing food and even went to their favorite dive bar...and their favorite-fancy-date-night-spot at the whiskey bar, 
Swetha and Chris had some fabulous style for their North Loop engagement session this fall! The color of Swetha's sari against the texture of this neighborhood was absolutely stunning! Lindsey and Trevor are wonderful together. I don't know if there is really any other way to describe them, but they make so much sense. From their values to their personalities, everything with Lindsey and Trevor is a perfect fit. The couple met at a friend's party years ago and they have been together ever since. It was one of those moments in life where a friend asks you to come to a gathering, you don't really want to go and decide, "Oh, alright, I'll swing on by." Before you know it, your life is changed forever! I'm so excited for their wedding this fall and congratulations to this happy couple on their engagement!
Jackie and Derek are simply the sweetest. This is a couple who is incredibly driven and they are also super dedicated to their dreams. What is really great about these two is that, despite how busy they are, the moments they have together are so special! I'm so happy to know these two and to photograph their upcoming wedding! Summer is here and that means that our golden light is back! Now thru October is my favorite time of the year to shoot here in Minnesota, because the evening light is oh-so-gorgeous! For Amanda and Luca's engagement session, we went to the legendary First Avenue and then made our way to Lake Harriet to catch the sunset!
